COVID 19 INFORMATION

This page is to help you understand what we are doing and what changes are in place whilst restrictions are in place
Due to NHS test and trace, we will be taking names and contact numbers of all vistors entering the premises, or SCanning the NHS QR code on arrival.
Please remember the social distancing rules! we can only stay in operation if we all adhere to these rules!
Covid-19 guide to navagating the Centre:
There is a one way system around the building, you enter through the main entrance and follow the arrows round.
The changing area is outside ski hire, no changing or congrigating is allowed in ski hire and no bags/equipment is to be left inside the building, please only bring what you will need!
If you are on a lesson, wait outside by the BBQ area and the instructor will meet you out there
You can still hire equipment, we clean our equipment after each use and sanitise using EC4
there are multiple hand sanitising stations around the centre but please also bring your own sanitiser if possible
the bar/ cafe is open, we do have indoor seating with social distancing measure in place but will be doing a takeaway/oudoor service whenever possible.
we are only accepting card payments and contactless to make things quick and easier!
tubing is a maximum of 12 which social distancing measures in place
all equipment given to customers will be clean and sanitised using EC4
when finished with hire equipemnt, you put the boots and poles in the return bins outside ski hire and take the skis round the building (all signposted) to the ski cleaning station and clean the skis yourselves then leave in the rack for us to sanitise.
you leave round the back of the bulding (all signposted) and not back through the centre!
The toilets in ski hire are open and regularly checked and cleaned, this is the only reason to come back into the building.
all the lifts are cleaned at the end of the day, hand sanitiser is left in the hand sanitising areas for you to use.
Staffing & Reduced Hours:
Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre will be operating with a skeleton team of staff with reduced hours before things return to normal. This may effect the speed of service, but we will do everything we can to keep things running as efficiently as possible. Our opening hours will be as follows:
Monday 12:30 - 20:30
Tuesday 14:00 - 22:00
Wednesday 14:00 - 22:00
Thursday 12:30 - 20:30 (Main Slope Unavailable From 18:00)
Friday 10:00 - 18:00
Saturday 10:00 - 18:00
Sunday 10:00 - 18:00
Pre booking will be essential and anybody who requires hire kit should give height, weight, age, ability, ski boot sole length or boot size, head size & pole length on booking, so that it can be set up for them prior to arrival. All bookings should be made and paid for a minimum of 24 hours before the session. Please call 01452 501438 after 2pm on the 1st July, within the opening hours stated above to make a booking.

All facilities will be available, but with restrictions.
The Café/Bar will be in operation
Reception will be used as a check-in point, where you are to state your name on arrival, so we can check pre payment has been made as detailed above.
The Ski Hire room and Changing Area will only be used as an area to collect hire kit. Customers are advised to get ready prior to arrival, or they may use the benches outside in the barbeque area for social distancing. No changing will be allowed inside the building. Instructors for ski lessons will meet customers outside in the barbeque area. Customers for tubing will take there tubes from ski hire and head outside to the bottom of the tubing slope for a briefing. Any hire skis are to be washed by the customer in the new Ski Cleaning station round the side of the building and left in the racking provided for staff to sanitise. Hire boots, helmets and poles will also have areas for return and will be cleaned and sanitised by staff.
Battle-Hill - The leader of the party should check in at the main ski centre reception. All other party members should wait by the trees to the left of the entrace steps (remember to socially distance) for the instructor.
Toilets - Customers will only be allowed access to use the disabled toilet in ski hire for the time being. The other toilets will remain closed. If you can avoid using the toilet, unless absolutely necessary it would be appreciated. Regular checks will be done of the toilets.
Lifts will be operating as normal with socially distant queueing in operation. Lifts will not be wiped down between use, as it is not practical, they will get sanitised at the end of each day. Gloves, as always, are mandatory. Individuals are advised to bring their own face masks, but these are not mandatory. Personal hand sanitiser is also strongly advised.
Any disregard for social distancing on site should be reported to a member of staff. anyone found not adhering and put other customers or staff at risk will be asked to leave, no refund will be given.
During lessons, customers will be split into groups of five with one instructor. These groups are to remain separate from other groups at all times.

Tubing and BattleHill
if participating in Tubing or BattleHill, please wait in the car park in the designated area and remain socially distant, the head of the group should come to reception to check in and wait back with the group. the groups will then get picked up from the car park to start their session.
